Introduction
Explore Azimut Grande 36M yachts for sale worldwide. At 35.29 metres with a 7.50 metres beam, the Grande 36M occupies a distinctive position in the Azimut range, combining Italian styling with five guest cabins plus four crew cabins. Rather than simply scaling another model, its layout and technical package are shaped around the semi-walkaround upper deck, retractable side glazing and flexible skylounge arrangement, creating an unusually open upper-deck environment for a yacht of this size.
For buyers considering a pre-owned Grande 36M, the attraction is the balance between recognizable Azimut design and a specification suited to its particular size category. Alberto Mancini is responsible for the exterior design, while the interior is associated with M2 Atelier. Machinery is based around twin MTU engines offered in 2,200 hp or 2,400 hp configurations, giving the model a published maximum speed of 24 knots.
Available yachts can differ materially by build year, interior scheme, factory options, stabilisation, electronics and maintenance history. About
The Azimut Grande 36M was developed as part of Azimut’s Grande superyacht family, but its identity is defined by more than overall length. At 35.29 metres, the yacht combines the semi-walkaround upper deck, retractable side glazing and flexible skylounge arrangement, creating an unusually open upper-deck environment for a yacht of this size. This gives buyers a model with a clear use case rather than a generic arrangement carried across the range.
The exterior design by Alberto Mancini establishes the model’s proportions and profile, while M2 Atelier shapes the onboard atmosphere. Accommodation is configured around five guest cabins plus four crew cabins, making the yacht suitable for private cruising as well as longer stays aboard. The exact décor, loose furniture, entertainment systems and optional equipment vary between individual builds.
On the brokerage market, condition and specification can create substantial differences between two yachts of the same model. Buyers should therefore compare refit history, engine and generator hours, service records, stabilisation, navigation equipment, tender and toy arrangements, and any owner modifications. Design & Layout
The Azimut Grande 36M measures 35.29 metres overall with a beam of 7.50 metres. Those proportions support five guest cabins plus four crew cabins, while the model-specific arrangement is particularly notable for the semi-walkaround upper deck, retractable side glazing and flexible skylounge arrangement, creating an unusually open upper-deck environment for a yacht of this size. The result is a layout intended to make the available volume work differently from smaller or larger Azimut models.
Alberto Mancini developed the exterior styling, with the profile balancing glazed surfaces, outdoor living areas and the visual proportions expected of the model’s category. Inside, the work associated with M2 Atelier gives the yacht its own design language rather than relying solely on the family resemblance of the wider Azimut range.
Pre-owned yachts should be assessed individually because layouts, materials and equipment may reflect owner choices or production-year changes. During a purchase review, it is worth confirming the exact general arrangement, cabin configuration, crew separation, galley arrangement, deck furniture, stabilisers, tender handling and any later modifications rather than relying only on the standard factory plan.
Performance
Azimut specifies the Azimut Grande 36M with twin MTU engines offered in 2,200 hp or 2,400 hp configurations. The published maximum speed is 24 knots, with 18–19 knots relevant as a reference for normal performance where stated by the builder. Its technical character is also shaped by D2P displacement-to-planing hull design and carbon-fibre construction.
Factory performance figures are useful for comparing models, but they are not a guarantee of what an individual pre-owned yacht will achieve. Loading, fuel and water levels, hull and propeller condition, sea state, optional equipment and machinery condition all influence speed, range and consumption. A properly conducted sea trial therefore remains important.
For a used Grande 36M, buyers should review engine and generator hours, scheduled service history, propulsion-system maintenance, cooling systems, batteries, stabilisation and major technical upgrades. Survey findings and diagnostic data should be considered alongside the original specification before judging the technical condition or likely operating costs of a particular yacht.
